2013 RM-Z250 Showa SFF (non Air) fork/shock on RM-Z450

Recommended Posts

Does anyone see any concerns or fitment issues with trying to mount a set of Showa SFF non-air forks and shocks from a 2013 RM-Z onto the new 2018 RM-Z450.

I know it sounds crazy I'll explain later, but besides from spring rates and valving etc etc that I will get re-done anyways is there any fitment issues? Length/mounts? strength?

I race harescrambles/enduro's once I get the 2018 RM-Z450 I'm going to have it valved for my race style by FC. However I have a spare set of forks/shocks that I raced last year on an Rm-Z250 and though I should get FC to change the valving to Moto so I can't have a set of suspension for when I race in the woods and a set for when I practice at the local motocross track, using offroad suspension on the track is really frustrating and not fun, on my 2016 RM-Z250 I currently do this. I use the airforks setup for track and the older Showa sff setup for the woods and swap when I need. Just wanted to see if I could do the same with the 450
