Master link for stock chain

I'm looking to break my stock chain on my 2006 400s and install a master link. Will any 520 o-ring master link work, or is there something specific I need?

thats real iffy it may or may not fit properly ..  chain pin diameter and length vary from manufacturer to manufacturer .. you'd be better off buying a chain tool set with a riveter ..

I put around 10k miles on the stock chain with a clip type master link. Cowpie is 100 % correct though, you need to measure carefully and find the link that is just right. It may have just been dumb luck that my local dealer just happened to have something in that worked.

I would get a new chain. Don't use links that don't come with the chain. If it breaks it could be big £
