New Valves, break in???

Recommended Posts

Id install them and pour gasoline in the manifolds and see if they leak.

Cause you're getting brand new valves and putting them into used worn seats. There is a chance those surfaces dont match. The right way to do it is get them professionally machined to match with three angle cuts.

If they're steel, you could get away with lapping. Dont lap Ti valves.

Theres no break in. They're not piston rings. If they dont seal, they won't seal

If you gave one intake and one exhaust valve to whomever cut your seats( assuming it wasnt you at home), you are all set.  And I also assume that you or whomever finished the build lubed up cams and valve stems with the product of your choice. Go ride.
