RM250 left hand thread?

Recommended Posts

I have the cases separated and crank pulled. I know it has a hot rods connecting rod. How do I tell if this is a hot rods crank or factory? It doesn't matter either way but it would be nice to know what parts are in my new to me bike.

Oh ya and here is a photo of the smoked lower connecting rod bearing. Reason for the wrecked head. Luckily the cylinder wall was not damage.

Also separated cases pic. I labeled certain gears and took photos to ensure they go back together in the correct places. First time working on or owning a Suzuki.

All the transmission teeth look good. All the bearings are tight.

As expected I need to replace the crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings, piston, gaskets, reed's and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Planning to replace the seal where the shifter sticks out. Also replace the seal where the kick starter shaft sticks out
