Buzz sound in clutch after reinstalling.

Recommended Posts

I put a new top end in my ttr125 also replaced shift shaft which required removing the clutch.  I reinstalled it in the order it was removed but now it has a steady hum or buzz in the clutch case.  Is it same to ride like this?  It rides and shifts fine just makes that hum.

No it was an OEM top end!   It's maybe just sounding different because new piston and rings are tighter than the old ones.  It's not a knocking or clanking it's just like a buzzing bee that gets faster goth throttle.  Might be the the clutch buzzing.

It's got plenty of oil in it.  It sounds more toward the lower right side.  Makes me think clutch gears but I've checked those and everything is lined up correctly.  It runs great so I guess we will just ride it until it quits!

I fugured it out!  It was the kick start gears that were not disengaging.  I just had the spring on wrong.  Now we all know for future reference!
