Hello,

I just picked up a parts bike for my tt350,  Guy also through in a roller.  Not sure what it is.  Vin #  SR250-1__6_2

Any idea??

Just a wild stab in the dark here, but could it be a Yamaha SR250? It's one of those lil' old road bikes that often gets cafe- or bobber-ized.

A lot of those pre-1989 bikes don't have a proper 17 character VIN, but they do have a serial number. My old Yamaha has a serial number that starts with the model and then a six-digit number, which is also stamped on the engine.

Any idea what this is?  Suzuki  original color was blue, Has a kickstand  Inverted forks  with Disc brake.  I'm at a loss

Looks like a hodge podge of parts from multiple bikes.

USD came after single shock bikes for example

'79 or '80 RM would be my guess for the frame. Forks - more internet browsing than I care to do.

Agreed on the forks and triple tree.   Barely attached.  Forks look to be in decent shape though.  I'll dir deeper into those.  Other than that I'll let the kid do what he wants with it.  I'm sure hell be creative...  THX for the help.

Possibly a Suzuki RS250..  Cross between a RM and a PE of the day.  Some hybrid
