CR125 clutch problems

Recommended Posts

I'm rebuilding a 92 125. I'm trying go system by system and now I'm on the clutch.  The problem that I'm having is that there's roughly 3mm before the clutch lifter presses on the pressure plate. I have a new cable and with it adjusted all the way out, plus the lever all the way out, the lifter barely hit the pressure plate. I've check everything but the clutch lifter and running out of ideas.

Yeah. That was my first thought when I looked at the schematic. I even bought one, then noticed it was there. Lol. Its like the center basket is setting to high.

Yeah. The one thing I'm questioning is the 20mm thrush washer under the basket on my looks really thick. It measured out to 3mm.

what happens when you put another adjuster up at the clutch lever - does it actuate the clutch then

so i mean double up on the adjusters

Not sure. Both adjustments are all the way out and the part the cable hooks to is two-thirds of the way through its travel before it touches anything
