Beta Tokyo offroad oil drain tool

Hmmm I don't think I want the chance of something puncturing the bung or even having the bung falling out... Seems like a really fast way to destroy a transmission.

The other thing could be to just screw this on when changing oil and putting back the stock plug after draining.. just to keep things less messy

I was washing my bike on my bike carrier just now  and wondered about just using the plastic jug that my soap came in. It just ran out, Hmm. I cut the white jug first and saw that all I’d need was a tiny funnel connector section to add. I guess later to be safe I could put a little bungee Cord if I was too lazy to hold the container in place as the oil drained and it got heavier. It probably wouldn’t need anyone to hold either though. The container is sort of holding itself in place. This was all super expensive and the tools hightech ... ?

Plastic bottles are free. I have a cheap 4 buck plastic buck knife. It took about 35 seconds to make. I put the white jug there to match. I made a couple of cuts. Measured and how big a piece of added plastic needed. Cut from green container. And that’s all. I put it back up there and it fits easy. It sort of looks like shit but if I actually spent any effort at all into this I could make a nice design. Still it was super easy and fast. I had been watching YouTube hacks last night. It must have seeped in .

Yea this had about 10 seconds of think time to design. The buck knife cuts did half the thinking. I’m sure I could put time in and make something decent. Still this will work. It’s not as sand as the Tokyo mod at all. That nice aluminum fitting is more appealing.

Of course we can all just take off the oil plug.. let it drain and have a pan beneath.. and when the oils out.. just wipe a little excess oil that is stuck by the skid plate.. maybe put a little rag below the bike in case other oil drips from the skid plate. That takes zero effort.. This is just a doohicky that tokyo offroad sells at the beginning. Some may like it. I just saw it and posted. It ends up being good because a variety of methods came out of it.     lots of ways to skin a cat... Who coined that phrase? I like cats..   I guess that's more trivia to look up.
