YZX green residue on bottom of engine??

Recommended Posts

pictures are worth 1000 words.

Clean the engine really well and run the bike somewhere clean for a while where it won't get muddy and what not.  Make sure you get the motor fully warmed up and look around for something.

not really sure what it would be other than some green coolant/mud/oil mixture.

Are you sure it's not just leaking from the water pump and running down under?

Unless he has residue on the right case half also. But it appears to be right at the case half seam and just below the case half O-ring.

It's coming from the Oval oring. It's clear now after looking at diagrams from manual.

Kind of figured you would start investigating diagrams after I said that. If you are not loosing coolant, and she's not blowing blue/white smoke, that it's more of a nusance than it is danger. But, I would keep an eye on it if you are a track guy, or rip it out and redo the engine ride off into the woods and/or do long rides far from camp. Choice is yours brother.
