What kind of bearing?

Hey Guys, An Aussie here just wondering if anyone has replaced there counter balance shaft bearings with non oem and what exactly am i to look for? i see there are all sorts of load thrust bearings etc.. i hope it's not just plan ball bearings in the correct size

 

My DRZ400E 06 dropped a valve and demolished the engine i have already ordered aftermarket crankshaft bearings (HotRod)

in the parts fiche bearing size says (15X42X13)

what to look for .. its the quality of the metal mostly, i'd go oem if you dont have a trusted supplier of high quality bearings like Boca Bearing .. throwing an old chinese bs bearing in there isnt wise i dont think ..

Thanks guys, Is it just a plain old metal cage bearing I'm looking for? would really dislike doing another bottom end due to a bearing but Suzuki Australia wants $70 a pair of bearings

i'd put the best bearings you can get in there

Take an old bearing to a bearing supplier if you dont know what you need and get a replacement like for like. They will look at the codes on the bearing to see what you need

Go for koyo ntn or skf bearings

Suzuki dont make bearings and like the other Jap manufacturers they use koyo or ntn bearings.

If you buy oem suzuki bearings they often gome in the koyo or ntn box

I never use oem bearings as they are over priced, unless they are specials which you can only get from the oem
