Bent clutch cover bolt

Recommended Posts

I must have hit a rock or something. I noticed this when I got home. The bolt is bent at a 45* and not sure how to get it out. The bend is up in the inner clutch case and can't be cut off without somehow bending it back straight. My thought is heat it up with a torch to make it easier with possibly a damp cloth on the case for cooling. Anyone else have a better idea?

I would just use some kind of tube that's a reasonable fit over the screw head to bend it closer to straight and then put a wrench on it (if necessary).

Thanks for the responses. I was able to get it out by bending it back with some vise grips and removing all the clutch case bolts for some wiggle room. A new cover and I should be in business
