Dirt bike stalls after riding on powerband

i just bought a 2002 YZ 125 2 stroke and i was riding the rev limiter for a second or two and then i let off it and it dies this happened twice and the only way to start it was bump starting it behind a UTV and the third time my brother was coasting it down the driveway and it stalled now it wont start. i have checked the spark plug the air flow made sure there was no air in the system it has gas in the tank but not a lot and the compression is a little low when you kick it over it will backfire every now and then. i dont really know what the problem could be i think it might have to do with the timing

Sounds like low compression

Since you mention stalling twice, you might have actually experienced engine seizures.

 

Pull the exhaust pipe off and have a peak at the piston thru the exhaust port.

Shine a flashlight in there to see if there are any deep scratches.  Post some pics.

Agreed. 

Just pull the top end off. Too easy on that bike.  See how bad it is.
