YZ426F Fork compression problem

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, I'm new here. Sry for my bad english in advance ^^

a few days ago I bought a yz426F supermoto. I drew it at the track and recognized that the damping doesn't work well. So I looked at the bottom of the fork and recognized, that there is no slot for the screwdriver to adjust. I dismantled everything and I guess the end of the needle just broke and fell off. Do you know where I can rebuy a new one? I looked for hours in the internet but counldn't find it. Is at the YZ426F regular a Kayaba-Fork?

Hope you can help me. Best regards

Hello,

Nice bike. I had a 2001 426 fore a few years ago and lot of fun to drive and giving me a lot of arm pump...

You got stock : a KYB 46U Cylinder Valve fork..  In the bottom of our legs you should have a date and serial number. Your local Yamaha dealer could help you. But I think that you must replace the hole thing Oem because of age. Sometimes it is cheaper to bay new used forks and replace the damage parts.  You have a SM so maybe they have been build fore that kind of driving  ?
