hey all thumpers who is doing the rimrock GP? it is a great event, all family oriented and a blast !

if your going , what are you riding?

Thinking about going and running the vintage class.  I will see how I feel after racing the Hareport.  I need to find out where you can camp at.

38th Annual RIMROCK GRAND PRIX Sunday October 1, 2017 Yakima Valley Dust Dodgers Motorcycle & ATV Club Operating as an equal opportunity recreation provider under special use permit from the Naches Ranger District-Wenatchee National Forest. Sign-up: Register by going to www.dustdodgers.org and click on Rimrock Grand Prix. What: Off road motorcycle race (NMA series points event). Kidz motorcycle Race. When: 5:00 - 7:00 PM Saturday On-Site Registration 7:00 AM Registration 8:30 A.M. rider’s meeting. 9:15 A.M. Kidz Race 10:30 Short Course Motorcycle race. This will be a 1½ hour race for the amateur classes. 1:30 P.M. Long Course Motorcycle race. This will be a 2½ hour race for the expert classes. Where: The west end of Rimrock Lake, a spectacular setting in the Cascade Mountains 35 miles west of Yakima along Highway 12 - enter at the Silver Beach Resort. Resort information phone (509) 672-2500. Speed limit 5mph in campground area. Course: Motorcycles will have multi-wave start per NMA rules with 10 mile long course on the lake bed. Gate Fee: $5.00 per person, age 12 and under free. Rider Fees: Entry - $45.00 for all classes except Kidz classes are $15.00 and Masters class (age 60+) is free. New: Vintage Class - 1986 and older bikes, any displacement – short course. Camping: Silver Beach Resort Phone 509/ 672-2500. Rimrock Lake Resort Phone 509/ 672-2460. Required: SPARK ARRESTORS AND ORV TAGS REQUIRED. Law enforcement checks every bike. Sound Test: Bikes will be sound tested. The limit is 98 db. Awards: Top finishers in the AA Class will receive a cash pay-out. Top finishers in all other classes will receive trophies. Fueling must take place on the boards in the pits fueling area, dead engine and no smoking. Do not cut the course. You cannot go backward on the course. Stay out of the creek and river. Rider may have only one helper in the fueling area. Violators are subject to disqualification. See NMA rules for more details. Saturday Riding: The lake bed is open to riding on days preceding the race but stay off the marked race course – violators are subject to disqualification. Important! Do not ride through the creek. You will get a huge $$ fine and be disqualified from the race. Remember, your behavior on Saturday impacts our ability to get the required Forest Service permit for the Rimrock event.
