In latest interview with HRC, he states he'll be at A1. Racing is always better with Kroc in it. Hope it's a fun season to watch. 

Withstanding a crash, he'll finish the season top 3.

Unless he gets hurt again, he will be racing next season.  He already looks good on the bike in videos that are out there and he has a long time to get ready still.  The question now becomes how will he do.

He does look good on the videos published, but those are also some pretty smooth looking tracks, IMHO.  A beat up SX / MX track could be a different story, but I hope not.

He's definitely not gonna show and podium, if his goal is to get top 10, that even is a huge stretch. 

I think him just finishing the race would be a success. 

I'll also bet he misses it.

I agree.  He just isn't that aggressive anymore.  And i don't blame him.

Mog! He still has the Skill, but that only gets you halfway there, at best. You've got to have the rest of the tools as well to be competitive.

And how do you know how aggressive he is now?  Until he starts a race there is no way to know that.

You guys are nuts.  He just got back on a track with jumps and you expect him to shred it right out of the gate?  Have you ever had a major injury?  Not only are there physical effects but the mental aspect as well.  He has stayed physically fit and he now has over 3 months to be ready for A1.  He will be there unless he gets injured again.  No doubt.  Will he get top 10?  Maybe not but he will have top 5 or 10 speed for at least a lap.  He hasn't raced in a long time so I don't expect him to come out at A1 and win or even podium.  I won't be surprised if he is in the championship hunt though.  I also won't be surprised if he never has the blazing speed to win again.  Time will tell but there is no reason he shouldn't be at A1.
