Wr426 coolant resivour level went down when cooled.

So as I write in subject, I went on a very tight trail, trail marking for my club. Hot day, bike got hot, ran fine. Just hard to start when scorching hot, dang tank was hot. Anyway just noticed 7 days later as I look at the reservoir, it's normally half full, it's 1/4 full.

Where the fluid go ?

what does your oil look like - not discoloured ?

It's likely that when the bike got very hot and the coolant exlanded, forcing coolant out of the radiator into the reservoir. The reservoir overflowed. When the bike cooled the coolant was drawn back into the radiator leaving the level lower than before.

Oil color is golden fine.

You over heated beyond the temp capacity of the resivoir.

Since it is not air tight, boiling water goes in, and keeps on boiling, and will boil over and out very easily

Get a 1.6 radiator cap and Engine Ice and a fan

Or just add a little coolant and ride on!
