Hotcam stage 1 XR650R

Has anyone installed this hotcam themselves. am i supposed to remove the spring and plunger from the head?

would this not mess up oil flow if this port was left open. Am getting mixed answers to this.  Hotcams first told me move it. when i showed them picture of it they said leave it in.

Am trying to ask precision concepts as they have built lots of these.

It's not an oil passage.

Ah i see, was under impression was an oil passage, if it is not then it makes sense to remove it.
