Replace Oil Seal or Not

I am doing a rebuild of a 1980 DT175 and split the case so the crankshaft could be rebuilt.  It also needed new crankshaft bearings and oil seals.  The oil seal and bearing on the gear drive are in good shape.  Should I replace the oil seal anyhow to be safe?

If you already have the cases split, I would go ahead and change them now.

ALWAYS replace the seals when you are in a engine. It's costly if you don't because you will need to break it all down again.

You can get oil seal kits for that. Did a 80' 125 not to long ago . Get yourself a impact and good #3 Phillips  can get bolt kits also to eliminate phillips
