Where to ride?! East texas

 From central texas area and have been riding at hidden falls. Gunna try to ride some where in east texas this thanksgiving break and SHNF is closed due to hurricane damages where to ride?

Zero, zip, nada, nope. Other than private property there is nothing. E Texas riding sucks.

Only thing open other than private leases. Should be good this weekend.

In East Texas I have ridden at Gator Run & Rabbit Creek.  Both of those cater mainly to ATVs and side by sides.  Barnwell Mtn. on the other hand has trails that are dedicated solely for dirt bikes.

Found a place to ride went there twice sterling ranch atv laid back place not really atv friendly

Barnwell Mountain is Awesome. Especially the single track trail. It's over 20 miles long. Other than that Red River is still there. SHNF is OK but you never know when they will be open and it's as flat as a pancake. Maybe Rocky Ridge (although it's really small) Hear Sterling Ranch is pretty nice but it's down south. Never been there but plan to go soon.

Man thanks for the input I’ll have to check out them out if I ever go up north, sterling ranch is pretty good lots of tight corners and good bit of sand, here lately I’ve been riding at CTOR ,and hidden falls both really fun places but totally different terrain

Ride Barnwell a lot.  Great single track.  As good as it gets for East Texas riding.  There are some private places, but you need to know folks.

I trying to plan a day for next weekend with my girl, we were trying to go to Barnwell Mountain but found out it's going to be closed for a private event.  Now we're torn between Rabbit Creek and Gator run. Anyone prefer one over the other?

Go to South Toledo Bend ATV park on Toledo Bend Reservoir.  On TX/LA border.  LA side.

Been lately, open weekdays? Any issue with theft in the parking area?

I haven't been since last year.  Yes open weekdays.  

I have not experienced or heard of any issues with theft.  It has a nice area for parking.
