Spark plug gap

Recommended Posts

I recently bought a fresh plug for my 06 yz250f. I set the gap to 0.029 and now I am having some issues in the upper rpms. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem?

What is the gap that the manual recommends?  In any case a gap of 0.029" shouldn't create any problems.  Out of curiosity, how did you set the gap at exactly 0.029" as most gauges are even numbered?

I used the 15 and 14 gap at the same time.

I’m also gonna try to put a couple hours on it and see if it’s actually acting up. When I put the plug in I just putted around for a couple minutes so that could be the problem
