Aftermarket fuel tank fitment

I've been looking at IMS and Accerbis tanks for 2015 YZ250FX and YZ250F's and noticed they don't inner change, in fact the tanks that fit on the YZ's hold more fuel. I thought these were identical bikes other than the rear wheel, kickstand, e start... perhaps it's the battery that takes up more room. Your thoughts?

The battery and electrics take up the space where the additional fuel is stored on the F. I have the 2.5 gallon IMS on my FX and like it.

Yeah, I went with the 3 gallon version, didn't want to do the seat mod.

You have to do some mods to get a Acerbis YZ tank on a FX or WR. Here is the thread.
