MY 2018 Beta 500 RR-S Thread

Recommended Posts

Found a puddle under the bike this morning...radiator hose was leaking. Brought it into the dealer and had the hoses changed to SAMCO with thermostat delete. When I rode the bike on Sunday I noticed the tach wasn't working and when doing street runs it was bogging/cutting power and WOT. Dealer is checking that out too but all in all I friken love this bike!!!

Mods to date:
1. 3 gallon IMS tank
2. Enduro Engineering black hand guards
3. IMS wide Seat Concepts standard height (should he here this week)
4. Shinko 216 MX Fatty Front Tire and Kenda Parker DT rear tire
5. Tubliss on front and rear
6. Samco Radiator hoses

Picked this bad boy up today! Anyone else using these skid plates? They didn't have one for the 500 RR-S but I figured the 480RR one would fit.

Not a Beta, but I know someone with the AXP Xtreme on their Ktm. It's the thick 8mm version (they have a thinner 6mm version)...definitely on my short list for my '18.

It's pretty amazing and they have great customer service. I asked for help on Facebook chat and he's even sending me a free shirt

Cleaned up the rear end with the tusk flush mount led signals and front end with the Zeta integrated hand guard signals.

Just a heads up, I got pulled over the other day by CHP...gave me a warning that my Led turn signals were too close together...the real reason he pulled me over was because I still don't have a license plate.

That'll get ya every time.

A buddy and I drove literally from one end of the country to the other and back again, being smartasses waving at cops etc.

It turns out we were driving an uninsured/unregistered vehicle the whole time, because old mate registered the wrong car before we left.

Why not mount some small turn signals at each side of number plate?  I don't think they last long in the hand guards.

That is a ticket waiting to happen in CA. Most of the force on a fall would be taken by the end of the Hand guard I think

You already have a violation with your flush mount rear turn signals so what's the difference.  I will be installing mine on the number plate and if I get a fixit ticket then I will deal with it.  I don't plan on riding the road enough to worry about it.

I know guys who have had those hand guards and their lights did not last long.  It's not so much crashing as it is hitting bush and branches and whatever else that does them in.  Aside from all that your bike is beautiful!?
