If I order p/n 12710-29F00 will I get the original "E" intake camshaft?

If I order p/n 12710-29F00 will I get the original "E" intake camshaft?  Assuming I can find one?  I want an upgraded intake can for my DRZ400S.   I know about the Stage 2 hotcams, but would really like to get my hands on an original "E" intake cam. Thanks in advance.👍

I see a problem here.  In most cases the OEM will supersede an old PN w a new PN so even if you order an old PN you receive the new part.  I dont recall what year the E was nuetered but you may just receive the new PN despite ordering the old PN....if you can find some NOS (new old stock parts) that are labeled w the correct PN you should be GTG

You should get a real E cam. There are two DRZ cams, the original E cams and the S/SM/late model E cams.

habs please keep us posted on the outcome of your purchase. If there is a provided spec sheet that lists the lift/duration/LC can you let us know what you receive (I think we're looking for 8.90/260/116, there should also be the letter "A" on the end of the gear portion of the camshaft near the center, you will also most likely see the numbers 1,2,3 and 29F, the letter in the center is the most important, it could be A,B,(C),D,E from all that I have read) Thanks in advance.

ohiodrz400sm please message me. I tried to message you but it looks like you are not accepting messages. Thank you.

So, are they the real E cam duration and lift?

I did not check but the A on the shaft (picture) confirm it’s a genuine E cam . Cam is already installed .
