BBR 170CC kit/wife's 2018 KLX140G

Recommended Posts

So after spending countless money to make the wife's 150F work awesome in the Colorado high country it just wont cut it with the small wheels so the 140G will be her next bike.... Heading down Saturday to purchase an '18 and curious if anyone has purchased the new BBR 170 kit?? man it sure looks promising and not that the wife needs more power but since we ride from 9k ASL to 12K ASL the little bikes need all the help they can get.

Thanks for the help guys

so did you get the klx?  does the suspension and bigger wheels make enough difference to be worth it?  ive got a 14 crf 150f and im debating having suspension done but also want bigger wheels just not sure if it would be better to get the g or or just do suspension on the f.  changing wheels on the f would cost to much.  wheels swingarm and forks would be alot of money to put into the f

No we didn’t, she didn’t like the way it felt on the showroom. Yes sounds silly but her 150f was set up for her, IE bars, grips, pegs and etc. So she was comfortable with her set up.

We purchased everything from a 230f to make her bike a 21/18 big wheel, we got a great deal on all the parts so we went for it. The bikes seemed a wee bit down on power after the big wheels and down on power period so we purchased the BBR motorsports 195 kit. Helped a bunch.

We had the suspension done by Motovate racing after all the work, she is very happy with her set up! I am too, I beat the heck out of it on camping trips

About how much did the parts for the conversion run?  Any noticeable difference in weight?  Thinking of a 140g or 230f unless I could convert real cheap.
