Battery-less EFI ???

Just saw a post of a Montessa trials bike in the Exotics section, The guy stated it had battery-less EFI, Thought EFI required a battery, Particularly at start up ?

Most EFI mx bikes don't use a battery. Battery really only needed for electric-start capability. Been that way in mx bikes for quite some time, now. Easy to start...

All non-start bikes like the RMZ/KXF and previously the Yamaha/Honda had a capacitor. A few strokes of the kickstarter would create energy that was stored on the capacitor, which in turn would be enough to operate the system for a short time until the bike was running...
