DEP Woods PipeYZ250.. Who has one?

I'm reading up on these.. Anybody have one?Can you compare it to a Gnarly or a Fatty for a YZ250 or 250X?

If it were me, I would buy either the Dr. D pipe or the TYGA pipe, both are way better than the rest IMO.

I have the thicker-gauge enduro YZ250 pipe. I don't think its called a woods but I liked it a lot better than the PC and stock pipes I tried. I ride/rode it mostly in the 'band' and am not a lugger.

OK .. bringing this thread back from the dead.. hopefully I can get some help... I bought the DEP enduro pipe.. it isn't the great fit I've reading about and it's impossible to get my FMF Q stealth to fit to my subframe when the DEP is secured to both frame mounts.. I've tried everything.. SO< my question.. Does anyone here have a DEP pipe with a FMF Q stealth that everything fits?.. I have a 2015 stock pipe and FMF gnarly and Fatty that all fit perfect.. my bike is a 02 but that shouldn't matter.. I talked to the guy at DEP(nice guy) and he said there were no other problems with the batch that my pipe came in with.. HELP!

I had a DEP enduro pipe and Q stealth on my bike a few years back, I remember it all mounting up without  any issues.

I have an 02 as well.

I have a DEP Armored Enduro on my YZ250 with a Turbinecore 2.1. It fits just fine.

I had to grind the flange down on my q-stealth to fit It was too long to mount to the subframe. I had to take about 3/4 of an inch off it to make it fit.

I had to cut 3/16" off the pipe stinger to get the correct length.. The problem with my DEP is where the silencer and pipe connect is about 7-8mm closer to the shock spring than my other pipes and it puts the silencer at a angle that cocks it up and outwards.. can't send it back cause I cut 3/16" off... $195 wall art.. DOH! I'll end up getting the torch out after my riding trip and see if I can fit it..

I had the exact same problem!!

Ended up cutting and re-welding that mount just a hair shorter after removing some material. My Q-stealth did not go on easy.. and i hate having to remove it and re-install.

Please help! I recently bought a Yz250f and have not been able to start it, it Has spark, but there are many issues with the carby which I wanna rule out before I leap into a rebuild, ( I want to avoid a rebuild if possible as I’m low on cash). The carby at the moment is a complete mess so the usual steps to fixing it might not work. So here’s the deal with the carb:
      - It’s leaking fuel from overflow ( really fast! ) and when I mean really fast, I mean it emptied my fuel tank in 2 mins.
      - It has a slow leak coming from somewhere under the float bowl
      - the air fuel screw is not adjusted correctly
      - I don’t know if the electrics work on it either
      - I don’t even know if it’s shooting fuel into the cylinder or not, as after kicking it a couple times and it’s not starting I remove the spark plug and it’s still dry. ( I tried putting fuel directly into cylinder from the spark plug hole but the bike still wouldn’t start)
okay so I know it’s a lot but I’m not expecting anyone to answer every single question themselves. If each person could tackle whatever problem they know it would help heaps. Also just want to know what Order to fix things in as I can’t do air fuel until the bike is running and it won’t run unless I stop the leaking and get it to spray fuel into the cylinder. And buying a new carby is not an option ( I’ve got $40 to my name atm). Please help guys thanks.

So I have bought a new FMF Gnarly for my 99 yz250 and it arrived today. Upon inspection I can see plenty of rust on the inside of it, and rubbing my finger on the inside removes small black (assuming metal) fragments. Bit worried to throw it on as sucking rust etc. into my cylinder does not excite me. Should i contact the supplier (don't want to wait/pay more though), clean it myself or put it on and hope it will blow out the crap before it sucks it in ?

      Hi;
I was wondering on what the model years were for the factory reed valve. I bought the bike used and it only came with a vforce reed cage and I wanted to go back to factory.

Vfroce lists their cage would fit 98-New bikes but I know yamaha changed up the yz250 motor in 02 so not sure if the factory reed valve remained the same.

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

This exhaust pipe and silencer have very low hours and are in great condition. There is a small ding/ scratch on the expansion chamber (circled in red in pic).  The pipe is bare metal and the silencer is aluminum.
This is a proprietary pipe made by FMF for WMR specifically for 105, 110 and 112cc supermini builds. The outlet of the pipe is larger than stock and the accompanying silencer must be used.
