Hello and suggestions please

Hello TT members! First post and I know you guys have heard it quite a bit but looking for suggestions on a new (to me) bike. I’m 6’6 285lbs. and a novice rider. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated. Thanks

What kind of riding will you be doing ( trail, track, etc) and budget so we can get an idea

Trail riding exclusively in clay and lots of rocks and down trees. I don’t have a budget really but some where in the 2500-3000 range. I don’t have any experience with 2 strokes.

A good 250 would probably be good for beginning and then eventually move up to a 450 for your size, the honda crf250x and yamaha wr250f are good reliable bikes (if you maintain them), you can find them used for 2500 to 4000 just be carefull when buying a used one because people rip you off...., they both have decent power for there size, parts can be found easily. Overall there good bikes for getting into riding. Have fun!

Sorry for the long break in replying drifter. But l think your right about the WR250F. Kinda stuck between that and an XR400
