Enduro engineering skid plate how to mount this thing???

Recommended Posts

How am I supposed to get it mounted in the front.... it’s not squeezing between the motor and the frame. What’s going on here?

Package says 12-16 Ktm 250sx.

Part# 24-175

I have a 2012 250sx

What am I doing wrong?

I seen those instructions. Same paper ones they gave me. Which kinda suck btw. Even their sure says it should fit my bike. It’s easy enough to figure out. But I’m sure this is the wrong skid plate. Or with my luck I have a 2011?? Vin and reg say 2012. (She’s dirty. I know)

the 24-175 is 2012-2016 250/300

Just looking at the skid plates on EE - the 24-075 is up to 2011 250/300 & has the bracket

24-075 - looking at the pics - are you still going to have clearance issues ?

that one looks like it would work. thanks for digging that up.

so are you saying I have a 2011?!?!     I looked online at a parts explosion... it shows the 2011 and 2012s having the exact same engine cases, same numbers too.  so whats wrong here?

You don't need a VIN number to tell the difference between a 2011 and a 2012.

2011 has PDS rear suspension, 2012 has linkage suspension.

2011 has PDS rear suspension and old style body work, 2012 has linkage suspension and new style body work.

It is a 2012.

I think someone at WP forgot to drill the holes in the frame/engine mount bracket when it was made.  There should be holes around the forward engine mount to bolt the skid plate to.

This is an older 450/505 frame, but you can see the holes above the front engine mount.

I would just line up the skid plate, drill the holes (that should be there), and bolt it up.
