2017 plastics on 2013

I've tried searching but to no avail... Does anyone know if 2017 plastics will bolt onto a 2013 kx250? Acerbis has new teal plastics but only 2017/2018

When I'm looking into these 2 bikes I see lots of difference and I don't believe it will fit.

I'm curious why you should change your plastics with newer year..... it's a bit strange to me.
