What cams are these?

Recommended Posts

I have the opportunity to buy these cams for a decent price, 200 Canadian for the pair

But I don't know exactly what they are?

They don't look like the hotcams I've seen.

Is it worth it?

Those look like the new style adjustable sprocket Hotcams to me
The pictures aren't the greatest as it looks like pitting on the exhaust and damage to the lobes on the intake.

I'm asking for better pictures, if they're good. Are they worth it? Or should I buy new stage 2s

What does brand new cost

Double what these are listed for. Both stage 2 cams would cost me a little over 400 Canadian

I think that's just the coloring being partially worn off and not pitting , may be low'ish hours of run time on them . If he wipes the oil off good and takes a few close-up & clear pics of the lobes themselves and the sides of them you should see better .

That's exactly what I asked for, just waiting for the seller to get home to snap some pictures

So I guess if they're in decent shape and they're the equivalent to the new stage 2s, then it's a good deal

Looks like 2047IN and 2048EX.

I'm currently running the 2003IN and 2048EX

There is a brand new set of 2003IN and EX on Ebay right now. $300 for the pair.

That's a steal!! Especially considering that the readily available equivalent, the Web 536, will cost you $276 per piece.

That looks to be pretty normal and common light wear..
BUT You were given a better option by @Bermudacat (Nice find) on a brand new set of current issue stage 2 HOT Cams...and it comes with a new cam chain at that price....

I still have one set of original Stage 2.... But Im keeping them :p

Yeah I've been watching the $319USD ebay ads. But what was appealing about these cams is that they are $200CAD about $160usd

Then add a new cam chain to that $200 CAD and you have a price to compare

Is the hotcams chain any good or should I stick with oem? My current chain has 3600 miles on it, 3000 of those were with the mcct
