‘17 RMX450Z-opinions?

Recommended Posts

Glad your liking it ericridebike. After I finished break-in on mine is when i done the other mods. I didn't use a tuner, I used a digital voltmeter to make it a bit richer on the TPS setting. I've got around 300 miles on it and loving it. Hand guards, yea, glad I got mine lol

Great to hear you are enjoying yours too. Yeah, hand guards are the first priority. Out here in Arizona seems like all of the plants trail side have sharp pointy things all over them. Don’t want to take a cactus to the hand lol.

Oh man, I'm dying to try and snag a cheap '17 RMX.  Anyone tagged theirs? Looks like it comes with head and taillight.  Is this the case?  Stupidmoto, time for some more videos man, i'm enjoying the ride vids.  My 11 RMZ is gonna take a back seat to the RMX if i can find a stealership that will let one go under 8 i think

Has the headlight and an all time on tail light. No brake light. Where are you located? I bought my bike in Grand Junction CO for $6500

Also finally had stock for a tuner, so I got that. Waiting on a clutch cover to keep looking nice. So far I love the bike. I still like my 2 stroke, but this bike delivers in comfort and ridability all day compared to it. Also added an electric fan to keep her cool. Cleaned up the loose and ugly looking wiring from the first pic too.

Lookin’ good. Will be interested to hear how the tuner works for you. Curious what fan you used and how difficult is the install? That’s something I may need to add to mine to help deal with the Arizona heat.

Haven't noticed much yet, but haven't gotten to ride it either except around the shop. Did notice there was no deceleration pop on lower rpms anyway. The fan I used came from Amazon a spal 30103018. I just wired it to a simple on/off switch mounted to the handlebar so I can control it if it gets muddy etc. Install from start to finish took probably 2 hours to get everything soldered, heat shrinked and protected with split loom. I also rerouted some other wiring with that too, so a little less time. I'm up in Colorado, so I get the need for a fan for the dry heat. Works pretty well and with the bike running it's not very noticeable. Didn't have to trim any plastics either

I'm gonna tag mine once its paid off and it will be a part time supermoto. It comes with a headlight with no high beam, and the tail light is just a tail light, not a brake light. You can get these bike really cheap now, I've seen them in my area for under 7500, nobody except for the people on this forum bought them :(. Also keep in mind the great service from Suzuki, not so much the dealerships lol. The bikes come with a 6 month warranty (which I needed to use), and Suzuki sent me some vouchers for some free stuff. And since you mentioned it, I will upload some videos lol. Do you wanna see just raw riding videos or like edited cool stuff?

Recommend oil change intervals are every 6hrs? Im wondering what the service intervals would be when using a full synthetic engine oil? Or is this not recommended?
