Not sure what to do? jb weld? new used carb?

My worry is if repair fails dust will get sucked in.

Im looking at the $179.00 oemstd carb but they are made in China

Search eBay for used. I came across quite a few complete oem used carbs for less than the new Chinese knock off when I was looking for fuel bowls for mine. In a pinch jb weld would work for a while but as much vibration there is I wouldn't trust it long

Yep, found a used one at a  salvage yard $275.00 also used but gone through for $344.00

Use JB Weld "Steel Stik" then re-drill and tap for the bolt size. It will get you by. We did that on my buddies 04 Cummins exhaust manifold for his EGT probe. It sees way higher stresses and temperature swings than a carb, and it's still holding up strong. Don't torque the shite out of that little bolt either after. It will get you by.

so yz and wr carbs are the same aside from jetting ? i will swap over my jets, needle  and qs3

Not identical. YZ carbs do not have the ACV. So backfiring pops will increase.

If you use a YZ carb, swap the needle jet as well.

ACV air control valve? is it on WR to keep it green for emissions ?

Do i really need to worry about it? in terms of performance

Motor is on a fresh top end new valves piston, rings and cylinder

Exact thing happened to my carb. Just put a longer bolt in and the nut on the other side will clamp it when you torque it. I'll try to take a pic later.

I used some JB weld on my Keihin CR carb off my 2004 YZ 250F.  Its holding up good so far.  Im looking for a decent float bowl for mine.  So if you get a new one, ill buy your float bowl off your old one if its in decent shape!!!

Maybe get a really long screw and drill into and tap the air inlet below below.

I will swap over my jd kit, quick shot and see how it works if i doin't like it i will jb weld a threaded piece of aluminum to carb body plus silicone on cover
