XR250L - Rear shock anodized?

Anyone know if the XR250L rear shock bodies are hard anodized? I heard some of the older XR one's were not... don't want one of those. 

So trying to figure out if they are are not...

My 1999 xr250 IS NOT anodized. My 2001 xr250 IS; along with all 5 of my xr400's.

That's a bummer.... Is the XR250 and L or R?
