Should I buy this ktm 65 sx

I’m trying to buy a 65 for my brother but there all like 5 grand. I found an 05 that was in the middle of a rebuild. Needs a cylinder piston and head and it would be done. I know nothing about the bottom end. Would it be to risky to buy it ($300)

Unless the bike is really beat up, you wouldn't get burned at $300. Considering I found a 2008 via searchtempest, that looked pretty nice, for $1700, I'm not sure I'd go through the trouble of a rebuild.

i heard ktms are realy confusing will a top end be to hard on a ktm

Very easy on a 2005 since there is no power valve to deal with.

okay, we will go look at it and make sure the bottem end is good, it needs a top end and rear plastics, i will most likely replace the plastics too because they are scratched and faded

Well, KTM is really a nice brand. If you are still confused about the bike then you can also check the market again may be you find the good bike this time.
