Yes it will because the static weight of the bike is too light for the heavy spring you need for your weight. Preload the spring within the 3mm to 5mm range,  and check sag.

Oh ok. So, by "Preload the spring within the 3mm to 5mm range" you mean... set my static sag to that range and then check what my rider sag is?

Are you saying 3-5 should be the range of preload on shock springs? Or just this example? Thanks.

I'm saying start there and see how it goes. If too much sag, then the 5-8mm range of preload . Max preload is 12mm on shock spring.
