Got to enjoy a nice weekend of Dualsport riding in Sleeping Bear Dunes area of NW Lower Michigan.  150 mile route of hillclimbs, sand, mud, seasonal roads, forestry service two-tracks and gravel.

CRF450L's were leading the pack!

Played with her in the sand in MI at Silver Lake Sand Dunes.  I need more practice but was amazed at how well she did with the MotoZ Tractionator S/T.

We've had some extreme weather in my part of the world. Lots of thunderstorms and rain. Some riding areas have even been closed down due to being too wet. In the riding area closest to our city, we had to do a lot of U-Turns, due to submerged trails, mud or fallen trees. I happened to find a new to me trail in this area that was dry and not destroyed by S X S and quads. We even took our two grand children out there for  a walk one day. Being "City Kids" they don't get out into the woods too often. They had a lot of fun picking up sticks, rocks, then walking and seeing moose and deer tracks, eating wild raspberries and saskatoons. On the way home they even got to ride in the back of my Ridgeline, while we were "off road". That was one of many highlights. Now I wanna go back to ride again. The new tires have made a great bike even better. I'm even starting to not dread the sand!

Wow, really putting that subframe to the test. Were you camping off the bike? Is that an air hawk on the seat? I bet cruising across NM in July is nice and warm....😄

NEW MEXICO BDR, in June 2020.

Sections 7,6,5 in the north were not too bad.

Sections 4,3,2,1 in the south were Hot.  Miserable at time is more accurate.

Yes, that is an AirHawk I stole off my wife's V-Strom for the trip.   It is on top of a Seat Concepts XL Comfort.

Those things really save the monkey butt. Love my SC seat, I've had both the xl and regular, prefer the regular. Were the northern parts pretty passable in June? Everything melted off snow-wise?

Covered 800 miles of Michigan's UPAT (Upper Peninsula Adventure Trail) in 5 days.

CRF450L performed great - 3,000 miles of trouble free riding so far this year.
