I just bought this but didn’t put on yet. Watching the live YouTube streaming  end of Romaniacs reminded me of this. ..Along with just looking off the local cliff type trails and just hoping bad things don’t happen. Lots of locals have these on their bikes . I never needed one before but it’s a great just in case product. I just had the msr nylon strap in my pack . This one is already mounted and ready to go fast.  One sherco rider has the slingfast which is similar to this.

Here’s a kit from Beta I wasn’t aware of. I stripped the oil plug on my 09 525 ktm motored RS  Beta . I found a timesert kit from a TT ktm guy who stripped his oil plug. I think I bought it for $200?? But the kit new is over $400. It comes with about 5 or so uses out of a kit. I wish I could have bought a kit like this for $90. After reading up on this topic and going through the process, I guess it just happens with all brands of bike. Seems this is common enough episode.
