what carb is this?? fcr?? cv??

hey guys, looking at picking up a new carb to replace stock sm carb...what am I looking at here? fcr?? or newer E carb?

Does it like like everything is there and it will bolt up to an SM??? worth $100?

Yes. It will need the correct bell adapter and E cables.

That said, that carburetor is probably 20 years old so it may work ok and it might be junk. $100 isn't a horrible gamble considering the possible performance reward.

It is an FCR slant
It might be a 39 or a 42mm bore.
The bell may or may not be the correct size, but it does have the vacuum port an E bell does.
It may or may not be worn out ...at the throttle shaft to body or where the slide rollers contact.
It may or may not have the tip of a broken fuel screw stick in the body.
It may or may not have stripped threads in the float bowl screw holes.

Ya i figured as much guys...sounds like more trouble than it may be worth...

I put this carb on my 02 S model.  It came stock on most early E models.  Works great and huge improvement over cv carb.
