2007 CRF50 - Carb Maint.

Recommended Posts

Good evening!  I am new to the forum and spent the day watching my 6 year old son get comfortable on a new to him 2007 Honda CRF 50.  I'm pretty handy and meticulous when it comes to maintenance on our toys.  Bike runs fine but I find myself wanting to break the carburetor down, clean it and put it back together.  It is the factory carb and I don't care to alter it from stock.

Is there a kit out there to replace O-rings and any other replaceable part.  If there is - please recommend a good brand (don't want cheap stuff)

Excited to be on the forum and thanks for your help.

Since your grandson is only 6, I would probably leave the bike basically stock for now.

Maybe grab a better breathing air filter like an UNI model #NU-4131st, a UNI foam filter service kit and some Honda GN4 10w-40.

When he is ready for a little more power you could consider eliminating the stock air box and switch to a UNI pod filter and bumping up the main jet, but that’s probably a little premature at this time.
