Rear Wheel Grabbing

Recommended Posts

I had a couple of involuntary dismounts. One of them involved the bike taking a couple of rolls over some boulders (me too!).

Anyway, when lubing chain I noticed the rear wheel would spin relatively smooth and then get hung up pretty hard in the same spot. I pushed the brake pads back and it rolled well. With the wheel off I double checked the chain - not the chain. Chain runs smooth thru the counter sprocket with rear wheel off.

But rotor looks good with wheel off the bike. Still, must be rotor right?

I have done the same thing more than once, riding single track

using the wooden handle of a hammer, place the handle against the rotor n hit the hammer with a hammer

that is after you have spun the wheel to find where it needs to move

the rotors are full floating they will more easily
