Am I missing something?

So I popped the seat off for the first time today to access the battery. I couldn't help but notice there was a threaded fastener with nothing in it. It is next to the seat release mechanism. Am I missing something?

Looks like it is missing a cable clamp (like the one in the upper right corner of your picture)..

That makes sense! Thanks, I emailed the dealer to see if they'll give me one. I believe that is the breather tube for the fuel tank. Don't want to pinch that under the seat...

Mine is the same. And, no deficiencies w/o whatever it is  might go there, so I don't care.

That's just the fuel tank vent line.

It is very possible an engineer designed it and the bean counters decided it was not needed, hence it not being there. But it also looks like it could be added. Not knowing the bike, it is also possible... if a clamp WAS there, the seat could press down on it, pinching the line and that is the reason it is not there.

I looked at mine. You could add one, but I don't see it necessary. The seat plan has tons of clearance in this area. The seat pan on the KTM 690 sits on rubber bumpers around it's perimeter that index with the frame. I'd say don't waste your time.

But watch that the rubber bumpers don't fall off. ?

Mine have stabilized! I lost two, but the rest are staying put. But, I keep a couple extra in my tail bag just in case.
