CRF230 Tire Pressures in the sand?

Recommended Posts

What tire pressure should I run, front and back, on a CRF230 for Florida sand trails?

Since you couldn't find a rock in FL if you wanted one, I'd go with 12 front, 10 rear at the lowest. If you're worried about roots at faster speeds, bump each up 1-2 psi. Assuming you have rim locks, yes?

Also what tubes? I like the IRC 3mm tubes. I have a M59 in the front And a X30 on the rear. And run 9psi. Both ends. I may raise or lower them 1 pound. Depending on conditions. Also the Bridgestone tubes are very good.

6psi rear tire a bit more in front.  You can run 6psi front if you’re not hitting bowling balls size rocks at 50mph.  You’re rim locks need to be correct.
