california WANTED People to Ride With, East Bay Area

Hey everyone I live in Oakland CA. Looking for people to ride with. 30 yrs old. I'm a new rider, so pretty slow still. 

My schedule is pretty open. I can ride pretty much any day of the week.

I've been to Carnegie, Hollister, there are some trails in Vallejo that I go to for a quick ride also.

Someone to carpool with at least part of the drive would be ideal

I’m in WC and work in oaktown. Will be hitting Carnegie maybe tomorrow since all rain is making other places little to wet apparently. Some guys are telling me like 80% of Hollister was shut down today. Carnegie soaks up the rain well.

Walnut Creek? What time are you going tomorrow? Do you usually ride on the weekends?

Yea I bet Hollister is swamped. Yea just make sure to call Carnegie first they will tell you if the trails are closed cause of rain. Should be good though.

I'm only a few miles south of you. I'm out for the next 9 days, but after that, ya lets do a week day ride. What are you riding ?

Martinez, work off Hegenberger. We go to Carnegie all the time. I'd check and see if Carnegie will be open after the AM rains today. They must close if they hit a certain amount of rain in a given period. Pottery side its sort of like Hollister. It gets really muddy and sticky. They'll always open the East side by the track first. Its more rocky and like said about drains very well. Hollister is half clay/dirt and half desert dirt/sand. There is a fault through it so its different on both sides.

I ride most Fridays this time of year. Usually Hollister but also Carnegie and Metcalf. Im may go out this upcoming Friday if I get my top end back together in time but that is still up in the air. I am in Fremont, if you can get to Fremont I am happy to drive the remainder of the way to Hollister or Metcalf.

Oh cool that would be perfect. Fridays are good for me and your on the way for me in Fremont anyway. So I could meet there. Let me know if you get your engine done and want to ride Friday. I'm down as long as trails are not closed due to rain

Cool sounds good. Definitely let me know when your free. I'm just riding a small klx125 4 stroke right now. Looking to get something bigger though soon

I'm a weekender. I can't go during the week with the exception of the rare holiday day off during the week. Yesterday Carnegie was fun. Pretty wet out. Should be really should be good the next few days.

I rode Carnegie yesterday and it was hero dirt. 10 outta 10 powder day, climbed hills that I haven't attempted in years - this old hack actually looked good. Tomorrow (Thursday) should be just as good.

I'll be out there with my big bike and trials bike on Sunday. I think I'm meeting with a friend by the atv track. Otherwise I like parking on the pottery side by the maintenance yard. Black 4 door Nissan Frontier. KTM 250xc and a blue trials bike. Blue gear yellowish helmet. Or a green/black open faced helmet if I'm on the trials.
