jumper11 Posted November 30, 2018 Dislocated my lunate bone last weekend during lowside. Turns out it is a pretty serious injury which required immediate surgery. Anyone had a similar injury and willing to share their rehab experience? Did you use a wrist brace after injury? Doc said 6 months.....hoping it is not that long! 76xtdrvr Posted December 22, 2018 Fractured my left hand lunate back in 1994 in a nasty get off (Yeah, I'm that old). I don't recall if it was also dislocated, but it required surgery and pinning. After the cast came off and pins removed in about a month, the most painful part was rehabbing for range of motion. I was able to race again in about 6 months. I had to do follow up visits for about 2 years. On the last visit, the doc showed me an x-ray and said the bone is dying and would probably need surgery in the future. I never went back to him. 24 years later, the wrist gets sore from time to time, and never recovered to a full range of motion. On a good note, I rarely think about it and it in no way hindered my ability to ride or race.
