XR's Only SS Pipe

I was thinking about getting one of thier stainless steel header pipes for my XR250.  Does anyone here have one and what is your opinion of the pipe.  Good quality? Are the collars steel or stainless?

Is your stock SS header damaged?

Any replacement header you use, be sure it's not any bigger diameter if you're concerned about keeping your low end torque.

Stock headeds are ok but kind of crudy around the collar areas.   I was just thinking if the XR's Only pipes were a quality and nicley made I might opt for a set.  The bike is pretty much bone stock; even has the full baffled OEM exhaust.

I just purchased an XR’s only header for my XR350. It should get here by tomorrow, I’ll let you know what I think about it.

On the hunt and researching exhausts so please do. Sound clip of stock vs aftermarket would be nice to.

 

** Edit: Just read "Header" and not exhaust. Still interested though.

The post below has a picture of the header. I ordered the XR’s only stainless header and the XR’s only muffler as well. I’ll post a video of the before and after sound for you too. The muffler should be here any day. Thanks

I’m putting it on this weekend. It was late being delivered. I actually just got it 3 days ago. I’ll send an update. I Installed the header in the meantime.

Like to know what the quaility (welds/fit/finish)  is like compared to the OEM piece and if you think the OEM exhaust would work with the exhaust.

I have a 1984 XR350L that I’m looking to get some parts for. I’d like to have a few backups, extras in my toolbox just Incase I need them. Do you have any recommendations for suppliers or is eBay the main source? Thanks!

Yes, I use XR’s Only, Partzilla and eBay. Partzilla has factory parts but some things may be unavailable. It’s a great website to use for schematics and part placement. I’ve been ordering from them for years. Your bike is very clean! Love it!
