Motor swap of yzf125 into chassis CRF450 2002

Has someone put a 125 4st motor into a CRF 450 ?

I have a 2002 CRF 450 and would like to put a YZF125 engine into it. With 200 cc big borecylinder. I think, that would make a nice trails bike.

What do you think about it? Does it work without welding the frame? I would like to be able to reinstall the 450 motor, when needed.

This is the liquid cooled motor, that followed th air cooled TTR125 motor! Its bilt into the WR125 and into the Beta RR125LC, too.

I held the TTR motor in it some years ago, and decided not to do it, as the TTR motor can never have enough fun power!

It is nearly never a direct swap. Rarely is it worth the effort (except perhaps a AF500 conversion.) Mostly, reasonable justification is 'because you could do it and want somethoing completely different'. Be prepared to do a lot of fabrication, frame cutting and proper welding.
