So it does, I never went and looked but another guy I ride with has a xcw, thought he said it was a XC.

It's Orange or Mango colored- I never looked.  I went straight to Husky for a comparison to a YZx.

Hard to argue for me that the TX was better, now ten years ago I would have been most likely buying the x

I feel like the TX / XC 300 is the ultimate off-road motorcycle.

I would totally pwn @Bryan Bosch on that 700 contraption of his.  His bike probably weighs and handles like a school bus.  :smirk:

Squid will admit it I am sure but when him and I met years ago and rode  he was way faster than me

but it was really hot and he was done and frankly I had a lot of miles in me.  Back then I would have taken the x.

I'm old, I'm fat, I cannot run anymore at all.  The TX is perfect.  One thing I learned from Beta and already knew from

Yamaha, less is more when it comes to electrical on a dirt bike.

You have the TX....it's counterpart is the the XC, which has identical suspension.

Had you bought the TE, I would agree, there is no orange counterpart there because the TE has linkage, XC-W doesn't.

I thought it was a XC as he has airforks but he also has the XCW rear.  This is why I thought it was a XC.

All the graphics are Matte Black for his business and well he's connected with some good flow.

I need to pin him down on this

I was very impressed with BAHA on that ride. I had done a little bit of training to get back in shape but it was my first ride after ACL surgery, I was in my late 20's. 8 Months prior I was READY to go racing, the best I'd ever been at the time on a motorcycle. Jim was oldish then, and I was damn impressed by how he just wanted to keep going and going. The dude can ride and he can ride all day.... He was on a YZ 265 or something like that.

One thing that impressed me the most was how good of guy he is/was though. I was taking my wife on a vacation in his hometown and he lined me out with things to do on the way up, where to stay (and where not to stay) he loaned me his boat, housed my dirt bike at his place so it would be safe and took me for an epic dirt bike ride.

And we had never met before, just exchanged a few messages over TT. Pretty fucking cool if you ask me.

Listening to you to A-Holes talk about the differnce between two bikes that most consider to be the same brings up a pretty damn good point. People want freaking options. Is it any wonder KTM and Husky are half the bikes you see when you go racing or to an OHV place these days? Instead of your standard 250/450 stroker and maybe an ancient smoker if you're Yamaha they offer:

125sx/exc

150sx/exc and a husky version.

250/300 models of a several variation in white and orange.

250/450 stroker in several varation of white and orange.

PDS, Linkage, Air Forks, non Air forks....

Despite people saying it makes very little difference what you ride for what pace you're going to go people want the option to choose.

My pops lives REAL close to moon rocks FYI. I know you like that place, you need to meet him just in case you ever need something when in the area. He'd happily let you tow your trailer dry to his place and then fill up, park at this place, use his welding equipment, shop tools etc.  We should plan a trip there someday.

I do like the looks of the KTMuskys....but I don't pretend that they aren't KTMs with white plastic like some people apparently do.

You didn't like the 350 so much. I was going to write a TT novella when you bought it called "Zen And The Art of a $10k Hunk of Euro Crap" or "In Search of the Lost $10k Kickstarter".:lol::ride:

Hey are you going to the Chiefs game today? Gonna be a snowfest according to news out here.

Ok, thanks I'll check it out.  To be honest, without that restart I don't think he ever stays on the podium.  He's holding back.

Yeah, KTM has done that for a long time too...not just having one off-road version.  MXC / EXC became now XC and XC-W (in the US at least).  I'm glad they make the XC and not just SX / XC-W.

The XC is the perfect middle ground between the two for me, and I don't feel like it has any compromises.

I've always loved the MXC now the XC versions.  I like the off road stuff with a close ratio gear box.

I don't go to the games, not worth the traffic and the all day ordeal.  HDTV in the comfort of my own home.

That I hated the 350 XC wasn't the bike's fault.  It stalled / flamed out way too easily was the problem.  Heavier flywheel and / or Rekluse would have solved it.  The 250F I had before wasn't much better.  I just don't like modern 4Ts in the woods.

Conversely the 300 XC was a take-it-straight-from-the-showroom-floor-to-the-gnar and ride it.  It needed nothing, just like my YZ250.
