BMW is making riders obsolete! Self-riding motorcycle tech?!

BMW Showcases Autonomous R1200GS At CES

This Beamer even puts down the kickstand down for you so you! I can't wait for my bike to come get me when I text it after I finish my Starbucks half caff mocha latte with a whisper of Madagascar cinnamon. I'll be riding two up with my girl Constance. I hope she doesn't get lipstick on my $1,500 Klim jacket again! 😋

Part of the thrill of riding is the engagement, manual clutch, gears, braking. Primitive in some ways. The cars/trucks these days are so safety oriented you can't even go burn brodies in the snow like the old days. That is why I have a motorcycle, push it to the edge of safety and past for fun. The day they put ABS and traction control on a dirt bike I am out.

There is a joke in there, somewhere, about everyone being better off, if BMW drivers give up driving.

Parking anyway. Screenshot_20190113-085350_Google.jpeg.25a0784fdfb24707bcf62161a8ba46b3.jpeg
I love parking my old farm truck, right up against the driver's door. Forcing a really pissed off owner through the P-side. Once it was worth a $30 mirror, hearing a guy screaming like a girl climbing over the shifter(no puns intended). Not very nice, but damn funny.

I dont buy sissy bikes, they still sell bikes for men, those are the ones I buy. Traction control is my right hand.

Launch control is my right and left hand. I don't need lane assist either, thanks.

Have you seen how some of those BMW pass in traffic??

Sounds like they're going after the #1 cause of BMW crashes. :busted:
