Websites to sell Dirt Bike

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm starting nursing school soon so unfortunately my baby is going to have to go. I haven't sold a bike in years so I was curious what places do you guys recommend to try and sell it? So far i've tried

craigslist

letgo

offerup

Are there other places/newer places to try and sell? Trying to sell it asap

I've sold mine through Craigslist.  It kind of sucks having to wade through all the scammers and guys wanting to trade 3 goats and $100 bill for a $3,000 bike, but eventually they sold.

Facebook marketplace works sometimes.

Ebay and CycleTrader too. You can set them for local pickup only. Might end up paying them a small bit for listing the ad though.

I've had the best luck with Craigslist myself. Just be patient and figure 50-75% of replies will be scammers. I had 3 in one day before.

I had good results off cycle trader. It's a paid ad but I felt like the majority of the replies were higher calibre than the craigslist crowd

You can do a free ad in cycletrader.  That's how I sold my husky in November. Sold in 2 weeks

If you are having trouble selling something you are asking too much. I have sold bikes on CL and marketplace and they were gone quick because price was good. If your bike is the same as everyone else it better be cheaper. If it the same price it must be better.

If it's not selling, might also be due to few people looking...  trying to sell a dirt bike in winter isn't likely to get top dollar IMO....
