Ok, it's sorta dirt bike related becuz it's a cabin I ride dirt bikes from ?

I bought a woodstove....it's somewhat unique in that it is small, porcelain coated and built by some local outfit....my problem is I can't find any information on it at all. Maybe someone here?

My grandparents had one in their kitchen. They used it to burn trash, mostly.

I've got no other power at the place, and this seems like a cheap way to get dry heat. Should be able to cook something on it as well. I have no details other than it seems hardy enough. I suppose I'll check it out in an outside location before moving it indoors. Snow season is here

I don't know anything about that particular stove but you might want to check the back of it for a stamp or label for proper clearances for the installation. I know for the flue pipe you need to be twice the diameter of the pipe from combustables with the single wall pipe (6" pipe needs 12" clearance from walls or ceiling), don't use galvenized- use the black stuff. When you pass through a wall or ceiling/attic you need to use solid fuel double wall exhaust pipe (not cheap). If you vent the flue directly through a wall, you still want to vent it up a minimum of 2' past the roof line if less that 10' from the ridge (If you have a roof pitch greater than 12/12 it might be higher, I'd have to look that up). Double wall also needs a couple inches clearance  from combustables so you's need to oversize your holes for your roof, ceiling or wall penetrations and keep any insulation away from it. Hope this helps.

Check the condition of the box, that catches all the hot burnt debris. If you know someone that has a MIG welder, a new box can be made in an hour or so. If you get it hot enough...burning cardboard makes cool colors out the stack. Never mind, I used to to drink a lot, then.

Calling Mr. History @Anatoli what do you know about old wood stoves made in Seattle?  I can throw in totally unrelated history, other than it's about a local foundry. PACCAR, formerly Pacific Car and Foundry made Sherman Tanks in WWII (cast) in Renton.  They tested them at a tank course in the Renton Highlands. Some of the more sought after units since they were made by multiple suppliers. /Hijack off

I have ADD and have trouble staying on any particular topic. I developed the condition in High School in the late 1960’s..
All homes in early Puget Sound homes were heated by wood or coal in the early days before Statehood in 1889. Fireplaces were not very efficient: they burned too much wood. Every kitchen had a big cast iron wood stove that both heated and cooked. It was stuffed full of wood and the air supply reduced to keep the fire going at a low level until morning. Larger homes had parlor stoves in sleeping rooms. My 1895 2 story Queen Anne style victorian in Tacoma had several stoves and a fireplace, but no insulation. In the winter you could feel a big gust of wind from outside in every room. I demolished the deteriorating 40’ brick chimney stack running up through the MBR about a year before the ( 1999?) Nisqually Earthquake thus saving my life. In 1895 Tacoma, electricity was just being introduced in residences. Tacoma had the first municipal electrical power production facility in the country.
Small stoves like the one pictured above were common in the 1920-1940’s. You could both keep a room warm and cook or heat water on one. Sears sold a million of these. It was like Amazon is today.
This was my Tacoma home for 23 years. RIP wrecking ball 2017.

618 South Steele St, 4 properties south of 6th Ave. In the early 1890’s, Tacoma and the rest of the World was suffering from the Panic of 1892, a huge economic collapse instigated by the Hunt Brothers manipulating the silver market. Real Estate developers like James Mason bought up miles of recently cut over stump land in what is now North Tacoma for next to nothing. In this turn of the century boom town gone bust, the automobile had yet to appear. The new tracts were 1.5- 8 miles from downtown and the port, too far to walk. The developers wanted maximum profits: that meant the maximum number of small lots, 30’ to 50’ wide. If you wanted room for your horse, you needed to buy several. Mason adroitly solved this commute to the suburbs problem by building his own steam passenger railway from just above downtown to what is now Pt. Defiance Park right through his properties. The station in the park has recently been restored after a disturbed young man torched it about 10 years ago. UPS was originally where Jason Lee Middle School is today at 6th and Sprague.

Ii grew up around the Proctor district and we had a 4 lot spread. 

I remember a lot of the places were still being heated with coal or heating oil and we used to have many places to ride locally

Some of my family lived in south tacoma. No real roads but they had Model T and could straddle the stumps, stumps that were too tall were cut down. Grandma told stories of learning to drive swerving around the woods.  Manitou area.

My wife grow up in the Proctor district of N Tacoma. She is a late in life child, her parents were born in 1901 and 1903 so they saw a lot of the 20th Century growth in Tacoma. She had relatives all over Tacoma.

The one I heard about was in the 1980's. Back in the 1890's all the government intrusion started. The 2nd modern international socialist party was formed that Mussolini and Hitler got their start in politics that took 'em to the top.

America was healing from the civil war and the libtards were already starting to rewrite history. Lincoln had just pulled off a coup and basically took over America by decree when he started Executive Orders by declaring America was in a state of emergency.

Hitler was so impressed he modeled his takeover of Germany after Lincoln. Mussolini mostly copied Woodrow Wilson, the bastard that sold America into perpetual servitude when his Secretary of State tricked the states into ratifying the Federal REserve Act of 1913.

A condition that is still in effect today, with another 20 or so POTUS since then also declaring a state of emergency.

You got that right. Most all of Congress was on Xmas vacation, but they didn't recess so it was still in session and then The fed was passed by a handful of the crookedest traitors ever.   I have started reading "The Creature from Jekyll Island" about the creation of the Fed and it's goals and objectives, none of which are good in the long run. Every example ever, of fiat currency eventually fails.

This book is super expensive because it is all re-sellers, it must be out of print or something. They don't want you reading it. Got mine from the library not done yet had to check it back in.
